Hans J. Wegner's 1962 CH327 dining table exemplifies how
dedication to craftsmanship can fulfill the inherent promise of a
great designer's work.
The solid wood tabletop is made from hardwood staves that run
the entire length of the table. Compared to full-width tabletops,
these are considerably more difficult to produce - but result in a
more harmonious surface.
The tabletop seems to float above the frame
thanks to the tapered edges of the legs, making the design of the
table appear very lightweight. An inviting dining table, the CH327
can also serve as a beautiful desk or conference table. It is
available in two sizes and with extension leaves.
The CH327 pairs beautifully with any of Wegner's
dining chairs like his CH24 Wishbone Chair or the newly launched CH26 dining
Chair.
